Are you a recent graduate of a CT State Community College? Do you want to pursue your bachelor’s degree? Do you need a cost-effective and efficient way to do it? Our Community College Tuition Match Discount Program may be your answer!
The CT State Community College Tuition Match Discount Program allows qualified students, who enroll in a bachelor’s degree program, to receive the community college tuition and fee rates that are in effect for the applicable academic year.
In order to qualify for the scholarship, students need to meet the following requirements:
- Attain 2.0 or higher Grade Point Average (GPA).
- Complete an associate degree.
- Enroll and register at Charter Oak State College within 12 months of completing Associate degree.
The tuition scholarship is good for five years. In order to maintain the scholarship, the student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 Charter Oak credits in the fall and spring semesters. This would allow the student to graduate in five years, if attending part time. Students can take more courses at the reduced rate and thus graduate earlier.
Eligible students should apply for Federal Pell Grants to help cover the cost of their college expenses; students will be responsible for course materials, books, student services fee, technology fee and any other course related expenses. Students will have to meet Charter Oak State College’s degree requirements for the bachelor’s degree as noted in the Official Catalog.
