Students who matriculate at Charter Oak State College work with an Academic Counselor to create a personalized degree program that takes into account their prior college experience, preferred method of earning credits, and future academic and career goals.
Academic Counselors are specialists in various academic disciplines. Upon matriculation, students are assigned to an Academic Counselor based on the intended field of study indicated on the application for admission.
Degree requirements can be satisfied in a variety of different ways. This provides adult learners with additional flexibility as they work with their Academic Counselor to plan their degree program which can be done via e-mail, mail, phone, and/or fax.
